Your Privacy & Data Protection
Last updated: October 2026. At TikVie, your anonymity is our foundational design principle. We believe you should be able to explore public social content without surrendering your private personal identity.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike traditional social media utilities, TikVie requires zero registration:
- No Account Required: We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or passwords.
- No TikTok Credentials: We never request access to your private TikTok account or credentials.
- No Identity Tracking: We do not build personal profiles or tracking dossiers on our visitors.
2. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)
TikVie uses your browser's client-side localStorage purely to enhance your personal browsing convenience:
- Theme Preference: Remembers whether you selected Dark Mode or Light Mode.
- Recent Searches: Stores usernames you searched so you can quickly revisit them from the search dropdown.
Important: This data resides exclusively inside your personal browser on your computer or phone. It is never uploaded to our servers, never monetized, and can be cleared instantly using the "Clear All" button in the search dropdown or by clearing your browser cache.
3. Technical Log Data
Like almost all web servers, our web host may automatically log standard technical connection information for diagnostic and security purposes (e.g. IP address, browser type, referral URLs, and request timestamps). This technical data is used solely to maintain server availability, prevent denial-of-service abuse, and optimize performance.
4. Third-Party Media & CDNs
When you stream or download media through TikVie, the content is served from publicly accessible TikTok Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). We do not host or archive video or audio files on our servers. Your browser interacts directly with these public endpoints to stream media.
5. Cookies & Tracking
TikVie does not employ intrusive third-party cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies used are strictly technical session identifiers necessary for security handshakes and DDoS mitigation.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may periodically revise this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or regulatory changes. Any updates will be published immediately on this page with an updated revision date.
